WEATHER POLICY

At Awesome Adventures, we rely on Weather Underground as our trusted source for weather forecasting. While forecasts may call for rain or storms several days in advance, it’s common for those predictions to change, often resulting in clear skies on the scheduled charter day. For that reason, we keep an eye on any upcoming storms when several days out and discuss alternative dates or times on day of charter with our guests.

If the forecast shows a 40% or less chance of rain, the charter will proceed as scheduled. If there is a higher probability of rain or a significant chance of thunderstorms, we will work to find a mutually agreeable alternative date or time.

In cases where the charter cannot be rescheduled due to inclement weather, a full refund will be issued, less any transaction processing fees charged by third-party payment providers.

If a charter is already underway and must be cut short due to severe weather (such as lightning storms or tornadoes), a prorated refund shall be issued for any unused time if we must return to the dock early.

We do not make weather-related decisions until we are 100% certain inclement weather is inevitable.  For example, a tropical storm or hurricane would be considered inevitable.  For rain or thunderstorms, we generally make scheduling decisions 24 to 48 hours in advance. These may include adjusting the start time (earlier or later) or moving the charter to a different date.

Our ultimate goal is to ensure the best possible experience with the best possible weather. We understand that many of our guests are on vacation with limited flexibility, and we will do everything we can to accommodate schedules while prioritizing safety and giving our guests the best day on the water.
